Introducing the Mizuno Pro 223 Irons – Mizuno’s Elite Players Cavity. The MP 223 offers golfers greater ball speeds and distance without compromising on the classic look of a small cavity backed players’ iron.
As with its sister iron – the MP 221 – the MP 223 utilises Mizuno’s renowned One-Piece Grain Flow Forging process and features a microlayer of copper underneath the Nickel Chrome. This provides a much softer feel for golfers, particularly those looking for the purity in their strikes that has become synonymous with Mizuno irons.
Mizuno have embraced a brand new technology within the MP 223 – the Flow Microslot – reducing the thickness of the clubface by 8% to a mere 2.4mm, allowing for significantly enhanced ball speeds whilst maintaining a smaller tour-ready profile. The MP 223 is sized for a tour player feel without compromising on distance.
Similar to the MP 221 – the 8-PW in the MP 223 has undergone a reduction in overall size to allow greater trajectory control via the heavily taped upper blades in the set.
The Mizuno Pro 223 Irons are available as standard in 4-PW and are fitted with Nippon N.S. Pro Modus Tour 115 (Stiff) alongside a Golf Pride MCC Multi-Compound Black/Grey Grip. Custom fitting options are available from 3-PW in a number of shaft combinations from Senior to Extra Stiff.
